Foreign Trade Operations
End-to-End Operational Management
With our operations department, we provide services in the fields of import, export, customs clearance, regulatory compliance, and logistics. By undertaking all types of foreign trade operational processes, we ensure that each process is completed flawlessly.
With our highly skilled and experienced team, we aim to take industry-leading steps in every project we deliver. We support all foreign trade activities to maximize profit potential, create sustainable value, and help our clients reach larger markets through effective management of products, sourcing, promotion, and market expansion.
Foreign trade operations are not simply about “shipping goods” or “bringing goods in.” They require simultaneous control over planning, regulatory compliance, documentation management, customs procedures, logistics coordination, and financial flows. We manage our clients’ import and export processes end to end through a measurable system rather than assumptions. Our objective is to clarify lead times, make costs predictable, reduce risks, and provide transparent tracking at every step.
To ensure a strong start, we design operations on a product- and transaction-specific basis. We assess key parameters such as HS/GTIP classification, rules of origin, product safety and compliance obligations, required permits and certifications, packaging and labeling requirements, delivery terms (Incoterms), and payment methods. This analysis allows us to determine, from the outset, the most appropriate shipment model, mandatory documentation, and potential delay or cost risk points. Together with our clients, we then establish a step-by-step operational flow and practical checklists from sourcing to final delivery.
On the export side, we coordinate the entire process from the sales contract and proforma stage through loading and dispatch planning. We structure the documentation set according to the transaction type, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, movement certificates such as A.TR/EUR.1, transport documents such as Bills of Lading/CMR/AWB, and insurance documents. We manage critical steps within a single timeline, including customs declaration preparation, coordination with customs brokers, inspections and controls, bonded warehouse or temporary storage options, and loading appointments. This ensures timely dispatch, documentation consistency, and minimal need for later corrections.
For import operations, we proceed with a focus on cost optimization and regulatory compliance. We make purchasing terms, delivery terms, freight and insurance components, customs duties, and additional fiscal liabilities calculable on a product basis. By planning required licenses, conformity requirements, import permits, product safety checks, and technical regulatory obligations in advance, we reduce waiting time at ports and terminals. We identify risks that may trigger inspections, laboratory testing, sampling, or surveillance procedures early on, and we protect supply continuity through alternative scenarios.
On the logistics side, we plan road, sea, and air transport based on operational need. We design the most suitable solution by balancing route selection, transit time, delivery model, and total cost. For LTL/FTL, containerized shipments, project cargo, or express deliveries, we apply operational standards covering carrier selection, loading and unloading planning, packaging requirements, palletization, and securing methods. By providing on-site coordination at customs-bonded locations and bonded warehouses throughout Türkiye, we ensure that cargo moves at the right place, at the right time, and with the correct documentation. For lanes extending to Europe and other global markets, we maintain coordination through our partner network and provide centralized tracking.
To ensure sustainability, we establish visibility and reporting mechanisms. We regularly share shipment-level timelines, critical milestones, document status, and cost items with our clients. We provide early warnings for potential delays and clarify solution options. We also transform inventory, shipment, and delivery data into operational reporting and help track performance through measurable KPIs. This approach converts foreign trade operations from person-dependent follow-up into an institutional process.
To manage financial flows effectively, we integrate foreign trade operations with payment and collection processes. For advance payment, documentary collection, open account, or letter of credit transactions, we clarify banking steps, maturity planning, and document presentation timelines in advance. For letters of credit, we support structuring terms in operational alignment and prepare the document set (invoice, packing list, transport document, insurance policy, origin/movement certificates, etc.) in accordance with L/C requirements to reduce discrepancy risk. By making items such as FX differences, freight variances, additional charges, and demurrage/detention visible, we strengthen budget control. In this way, we manage not only shipments but also cash flow in a planned manner.
We also take ownership of post-delivery processes. We support our clients with proof of delivery (POD), arrival notifications, damage or shortage reports, insurance notifications, and compensation procedures when required. In scenarios such as returns, reshipments, partial deliveries, or transit transfers, we build alternative logistics plans and ensure that documentation and cost management remain controlled even when processes extend. We apply fundamental compliance checks across areas such as sanctions screening, export controls, dual-use goods, embargo country/entity controls, and KYC requirements, with the objective of minimizing reputational and regulatory risks. When requested, we help standardize internal processes through transaction-based brief trainings, document templates, and practical checklists so that teams operate with a shared language and consistent execution.
On the digital tracking side, we consolidate shipment-reference document archives and process notes in a single place to prevent information loss across teams. Through regular operational reviews, we evaluate performance data and translate delay causes, cost deviations, and improvement areas into concrete actions. This enables each new shipment to progress faster and with fewer errors by leveraging the learning from previous operations. Where needed, we provide reporting formats that facilitate data sharing with ERP, warehouse management, or carrier systems and support integration efforts.
Our risk management approach is based on prevention rather than reaction. We apply proactive controls against document mismatches, incomplete declarations, incorrect HS classification, origin errors, incorrect delivery terms, payment risks, damage and loss risks, transport delays, and regulatory changes. Where necessary, we optimize cargo insurance coverage, strengthen contractual clauses to protect operations, and establish audit-ready filing structures.
In summary, we transform foreign trade operations into a controlled workflow where cost is managed, time is planned, and risk is minimized. By coordinating import and export processes from a single center, we shift our clients’ focus away from day-to-day paperwork and toward business development and growth. With transparent communication, full regulatory compliance, rapid execution, and measurable tracking, we position ourselves as a reliable operational partner for foreign trade flows extending from Türkiye to Europe and to markets worldwide.
